“The ancestor reading with Miss Bri had a profound effect on me.  Like many Americans, I’m a mutt, ethnically, which always made it challenging to explore my own cultural roots.  I knew what the ingredients were, but they were so diverse.  While America does have its own culture, for people like me, it’s easy to feel kind of “rootless” in terms of our ancestors.

The reading helped me put some flesh and blood around my past.  By hearing from “spokespeople” from my ancestral strains, I was able to find connections to specific locations, periods in history, religious movements, ways of life – connected to people, really, as opposed to maps or books full of last names.  I got to learn their personalities, their values, and what they passed on to me.  I learned what they thought of me and wished for me and how I could establish closer communications with them.
