Rider-Waite-Smith Tarot Deck: The Tarot has a long, involved history of being used as both a game of playing cards, and a divinatory tool. The Rider-Waite-Smith deck was created by artist Anna Coleman Smith under the direction of Arthur Waite for the Rider company. Most folks refer to this deck simply as the Rider-Waite deck, I add Smith because without Anna Coleman's Smith's wonderful artistic abilities we wouldn't have the deck at all! His fabulous, mythical, images are rich in meaning and symbolism, so of course I was delighted when he created a Faeries Oracle. Please note: An oracle deck is completely different from a Tarot Deck, there are a different number of cards in each oracle deck and the cards do not map on to the cards we find within the standard Tarot.

There are a number of ways to perform Bibliomancy, the most common is to ask a question and then open the Bible randomly and place your finger on a random passage.
